Back to writing! (my wedding)
Hello hello!
It's been so long! More than 4 months already without any new blog posts.
Where have you been?
For me, a lot has happened in the last 4 months.
First of all, I got married! 💍💑🥂
I got married!
Yes, I got married, on the 29th of August.
Unfortunately because of the Covid situation, we didn't have any family or friends. It turned out amazing though. Truth be told, I've never really been into big weddings so that was sort of a good excuse to have a really small and intimate wedding without all the stress that usually comes with the typical preparation.
It turned out to be amazing because we had a magical 22 days (+1 day for missing our flight 😅). We did it in Denmark. Denmark is an incredible country and the Danish people are now by far the people I respect the most for their lifestyle, honest kindness, and extremely high levels of civilization...
It turned out to be amazing most importantly because, although not having any family with us, we never felt we were alone!
My family master the art of making you feel special, and I can't say thank you enough for how special they made us feel! A month before the wedding we were already receiving surprising gifts by post. Then in Copenhagen, it all starts with the first and best surprise! My sister had secretly upgraded us to the best suite in the hotel with heart-lifting decoration, chocolate, champagne and card(s). Cards I say cause we actually moved around cities and hotels, and we got the same beautiful surprise everywhere we went.

Obviously, we were far apart but were so connected that it felt like they were so close. It honestly felt like they literally were with us in Copenhagen.

22+1 days in Denmark
So an amazing, magical, fairytale-like wedding in Copenhagen.
Five days later we're moving around Denmark, taking the train that crosses the sea to Odense and here we are in the land of Hans Christian Andersen. For those of you who don't know who H.C.A is, here's a Wikipedia link. He's basically the most famous Danish person. He's the internationally recognized fairy-tales author best known for writing the little mermaid. Yes, the little mermaid was written in 1837; Hundred and fifty-two years before Disney made a film out of it.
Odense was so exceptional! Imagine following the footsteps of Christian Andersen and getting immersed in his world of stories and tales... Obviously, the adventure seekers that we are, we didn't stick to Odense for the whole week. One day we would hop on a bus to Kertminde, another day we would get on another bus not knowing where we'd get off.
This was all amazing! This was fantastic! An amazing wedding! An amazing partner in crime! An amazing family! An amazing country! I don't know how better I could explain how amazing it all was. It was simply 'amazing de chez amazing' 😍
We were even so luckily unlucky to miss our flight. We really just didn't want to leave and go back to ol' boring London (yeah London is so boring compared to Copenhagen and Denmark, I can promise you that). We won an extra day for the last goodbye with the city we both so fell in love with.
Note: when I started writing this post, the idea was to give an update about where I've been missing since my last post. It ended up being all about the wedding which partly explains why I went missing. For the other part, I think I'll keep it for the next post. Cause guess what?! I'm back to writing!
La family see you soon 💗
